Eirik Hooper provides research & advisory services for Drewry, covering the ports and terminals sector. This includes involvement in the production of Drewry’s flagship Annual Review of Global Container Terminal Operators and the Ports & Terminals Insight reports.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the port sector, having worked across the globe, first with P&O Ports and subsequently DP World, where he developed and led their global competitive intelligence capability. He brings a broad range of expertise primarily within the container terminal industry, including business and market intelligence, competitive strategy, customer engagement, contract management and business development.

More recently, Eirik has gained consultancy experience, working with investors and entrepreneurs in the maritime sector, alongside founding a Naval Architecture & Engineering business based in the UAE. Eirik holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Oxford University, UK; an MBA from Deakin University, Australia; and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
