Gytis MAŽEIKA is the Head of the International Cooperation Group at the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
Previously, Mr. Mažeika held several positions at the Ministry: he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania from September 2019 to October 2021, and from 2017 to 2019 he worked as Chief Counselor of the Networks and International Relations Department; in 2013-2017 he was appointed as Transport Attaché of the Ministry at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU (Brussels) and in the period 2008-2013, he was a Chief Specialist.
In 2008 Mr. Mažeika graduated from the Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science in Comparative Politics.
